We young professionals continually seek to grow our careers while also enjoying life. What if there was a way to do both in one evening? Well, the party scientists at PULSE have dreamed up just such an invention: a free happy hour event with professional development sessions on the side. Complimentary beer will be provided by the New England Brewing Company, and amazing hors d'oeuvres will be provided by the soon-to-be-opened restaurant Olmo (which is the new incarnation of Caseus).

NAHSE CT will be partnering with PULSEConnecticut Young Professionals, District, Drive, Future Leaders of Yale on Thursday, September 20th, from 5:30 to 8:00pm at District New Haven for a fun night of professional development and networking! Side sessions will include topics such as career coaching, resume reviewing, and entrepreneurship. These will be facilitated by New Haven-based powerhouses such as LBD Firm and Collab

There will be four elements of the event:

  1. Free career coaching and resume reviewing with Dionte Lee of LBD Firm. Are you frustrated with your job? Have you been on countless interviews and no job offers? Do you have a resume that you feel confident submitting? Then come get your free coaching with LBD Firm!

  2. “Acing the Interview,” a session on how to master the job interview, taught by Jaime Laufer, Director of People Operations at Digital Surgeons. You will learn how to prepare for interviews, how to answer difficult questions, how to follow-up, and a quick discussion on negotiating for a role.

  3. A conversation on entrepreneurship with Margaret Lee and Caroline Smith, Co-Founders of Collab. Interested in starting a venture, or expanding an existing one? Come talk with Margaret and Caroline!

  4. Professional headshots, taken by photographer Keeley Moffitt, will be available on-site for an additional fee of $30. You will receive several edited, high-resolution digital downloads. Credit cards are accepted.

This event is free and open to the public, and includes free refreshments, so be sure to invite your friends! Please feel free to register  HERE.
