OUR YEAR IN REVIEW...

Reflections from NAHSE CT Team

2021 was a year we had to figure out a way to adapt and press on best as we can which undoubtedly caused stress leading to burnout across the industry contributing to the “great resignation”. For me, NAHSE CT provided the space and forum to find community and support and I very much look forward to what 2022 has to bring!” –Selina

"This year I am reminded that everything happens for a reason. Every trial, challenge, rough day, sad month, and setback is preparing you for the wonderful opportunities, friendships, and experiences soon to come." – Zaria

NAHSE CT held firmly to its commitment to service in this past year and identified ways to continue engaging despite restrictions caused by the pandemic. From fundraising in support of organizations addressing homelessness and domestic violence to delivering meals on Thanksgiving Day to families facing food insecurity, each opportunity reaffirmed the importance and value of uniting to pour into the communities where we work and live, particularly during such a challenging time.” –Elisabeth

“2021 was a learning curve for me as I took on more responsibility of creating and posting communications [for NAHSE CT]. There were some challenges in remembering to post during busy days at work but I’m looking forward to implementing new tools to alleviate those challenges.” — Zakkyya

“As I reflect, I realize a lot can happen in a year. I learned the value of time, to do what makes me happy, and to trust myself to test my limits!”--Bonnie

“NAHSE CT continued to focus on its mission and meaningfully impact the community. Despite being in a 2-year pandemic, I continue to see our members’ resilience”--Quian
